  2. I have always said that the glass is always full. As a teacher of electronics, I was often challenged on the direction of an electrical current and whether it should be described as from positive to negative or negative to positive. I would always reply by pointing out that as one filled a glass with water, what was really taking place was the removal of the air from the glass.
