This is why TYWKIWDBI doesn't "do" celebrities

This kind of media frenzy is ludicrous.  Kate Moss is trying to traverse a public airport.  Here's a comment from the Daily Dish source:
"This is a kind of human assassination, a video I just watched that reveals to me, at least, that fame is a cancer not just on our multi-media society but on the human beings who are caught in its cross-fire. This is really what killed Diana, Princess of Wales. It's really what killed Michael Jackson. Yes, these people choose it in a way. But it should be possible to be a princess or a model or a singer and not be treated this way. And yet nothing can stop it."

  1. This is hard to watch. What is wrong with these people? I think the airport police should be allowed to mace them after giving them fair warning. Obscene!

  2. Totally agree with Pete, this should not be allowed.

  3. Ugh. We really need well written anti-harassment laws. Either that, or celebrities need golf clubs and a license to destroy those fancy cameras.

I heard that John Rhys-Davies has a restraining order against 'the press' - they're not allowed within 50 yards or so. When I heard him speak there was a separate checkin line for the media, which was totally empty. I'm surprised more stars don't do that.

  4. Also, I wonder at what point the paparazzi could be arrested for disturbing the peace. I would say that mobbing someone to the point where it takes six officers to escort her away counts.

  5. Locusts...

It's only a question of time before this hits its next ultimate conclusion, one of the stars cracking and either gunning them down en mass or suicide bombing them. Only a series of these events and/or some really draconian laws will be the only thing that stops them. Even that will not be 100% certain.

  7. OK I'm more wondering about the child. What happened with her? And if that were me I'd be protecting her with my life. But she used the kid to hit through people.. The poor kid could have gotten hurt. I agree this was sick to watch and there should be more laws to protect these people.

  9. Wow, that's got to be terrible, but using your kid as a battering ram? Not cool, actually.
