Coca-Cola is being sued by a non-profit public interest group, on the grounds that the company's vitaminwater products make unwarranted health claims. No surprise there. But how do you think the company is defending itself?
In a staggering feat of twisted logic, lawyers for Coca-Cola are defending the lawsuit by asserting that "no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitaminwater was a healthy beverage."
More at The Huffington Post. Personally, I'm sick and tired of this kind of corporate advertising bullshit.
Very, very disgusting to drink. Tastes like watered down soda...
ReplyDeleteAll the girls at my high school drink it after they get done practicing for track.
Outrageous indeed. Look at the ad for it, the language used; it's CLEAR they're promoting it as a health beverage! I know this is an old one, but I sure hope they got their sugary butts handed to them. http://www.vitaminwatercanada.ca/flavours/
