Photos of the Swedish subway system

From a gallery of about 40 photos showing the terrible conditions tolerated by people forced to live under the thumb of a socialist system...

  1. The poor folks have to commute in caves. How primitive!

  2. Thanks for showing us some of the evils of Socialism. I'll bet their health care is just as ugly.

  3. Not a spot of vandalism in the photos. Maybe it's just the better side? Either way, it looks clean and welcoming.

  4. As a former Stockholmer, I still feel proud of the subway. But these are beauty photos, taken from the right angle or when the stations had been cleaned.

The Solna Centrum station (the brightly red one with the elk) is truly socialist. Lots of leftist/green vignettes showing the little people fighting against pollution, capitalism and state power. My favourite station is Tekniska Högskolan, where physical laws are written on the walls and the platonic bodies represent the elements.

  6. Are you kidding me, have you been in a New York subway?! These subways are beautiful, compared to ours.... The people who think that's primitive must have never set foot in a real cave, how ignorant do you have to be to be blind to such art!! How can you say that is horrible? If that's socialism, maybe we should try it!! Just kidding, kind of.....

  8. Barbwire, really that's evil to you? Coming from someone who gets billed 1500 dollars for three stitches and one ambulance ride, you obviously don't know how ugly our "society" is....

  9. Nate, Barbwire may not revisit this post, but from what I remember of her previous comments, I think I can assure you that her tongue was deeply in her cheek as she typed that comment.

    And the same for bigjohn.
