Advice for people who "hate what America has become"

  1. That is a pure straw man. I think you would find limited support amongst even the most anarchic libertarians for a Somalia approach to governance. There is a vast gulf between belief that American federal government is too large, too bureaucratic, and overly taxing and a government by warlords.

The only redeeming element of the cartoon is the change in facial expression from panel 3 to 4.

  3. Well I once read that if enough people want it to happen, it will happen. I think a lot of people would like to see a major survival situation arrise/happen, because it would mean no more going to work and paying rates for land you own and taxes for things you don't get etc etc.
Long term it may not be so acceptable, but right now people want change and I don't think too many are worried about exactly what that change is!

  4. Who said anything about Libertarians? You have to be a thinker to label yourself that way. But to be a Tea Partying Republican, all you have to do is think Obama is a socialist, atheist, terrorist Kenyan. Maybe not all Tea Partiers, but enough of them. These people have no idea what they're saying. This cartoon captured that PERFECTLY!

  6. It's fun to pigeonhole people into tight little groups, isn't it? And it's happening more and more often of late. I know as many liberals who would identify with that comic as I do conservatives or libertarians, but of course, depending on your point of view, it's clearly aimed at "THEM!" Sigh.
