Earthquake epicenters

Plotting 10,000 per year for 35 years shows the tectonic plates quite well.

We live in a pretty good spot.

  1. The Great White North, and Brazil looks pretty safe too.

  2. I was surprised to see Scotland covered in black dots. I haven't noticed any.

  3. Ha! You can't even see NZ. Growing up in NZ (and I guess places like California?) you grow up thinking everyone has experienced an earthquake or two...

We used to have Earthquake drills in Primary School.
"Duck and cover!" (Literally.) I remember one time, if the Principal walked into the classroom, we had to pretend that she was an earthquake and hide under our desks with our arms protecting our heads.
Good thing she wasn't sensitive about her weight...
