I'll be back...

I need to stop blogging for a few days to attend to Christmas-y things.

Shown above is the "will return" clock, which looks like a static "will return" sign but is battery-powered. You set it 10-15 minutes ahead as you leave your cubicle/office, and the time it says you will return keeps advancing while you're gone.

Available from the Neatorama shop...

  1. I remember when this blog was more than just a whore for neatorama. What happened to your dignity?

  2. The clock would be much more effective without the second hand.

  3. I agree, Mike. The second hand spoils the effect because it reveals the dynamic aspect of the clock. I don't need one of these but if I had one, I'd break the second hand off.

  4. @T - Accordingto Technorati there are 130 million blogs. So you come on this one and kvetch about some disgruntlement?

I won't delete your comment because I think it says more about you than it does about me. Please feel free to reply and tell me what standards you feel I am failing.

    What a curmudgeon. Sheesh.

  5. Well, it does seem you posted more before neato.
Maybe there are 130 million but I like yours the best;)

I don't know what sort of arrangment you have on neato but I hope you're making some cash on it. I can't remember if you said whether you were or not. But I can't blame you for taking your talents there for some extra moolah.
Are you going to stay there forever or how does it work?

Anyway, when are you going to be back from Xmas chores? If you have a pretty good idea of when that would be it would be most appreciated.

  6. Victoria, I'm back, but I have family at the house and it's hard to find blocks of time...

  7. Not that my comment is worth much in the opinion of some others, but I like this blog. Time off for family is never wasted. And I need a clock like that.

  8. I love this blog! Found it randomly while looking for spectroscopy and holographic inspired artworks. I sometimes wonder about whom else finds these blogs. Yet after reading some comments, I’m stuck between wanting and not wanting to know what others think. I like your selection and find that it is skilfully thought out. So, bonne continuation, you make lots of us happy out there.

  9. I just liked your blog better before you sold out to neatorama. I loved your blog before it became secondary to posting on some other blog. And now ur pimping crap to ur hard won readers so they can make a buck?

I hope whatever they're paying u is worth it. Over there ur one in a dozen but here u have something special. Or had.
