"When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers"

"A man held his child, who was killed in a suicide bombing, as the child’s grandmother mourned inside a van at a hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan, Sunday. A Taliban suicide bomber detonated explosives in a market, killing the town’s anti-Taliban mayor and at least 11 other people, officials said. (Mohammed Iqbal/Associated Press)

The title is an African Kikuyu proverb.
