"Miss Plastic" contestant injured

Perhaps I lead a sheltered life; I didn't even know there was a "Miss Plastic" contest created for young women who are ineligible for conventional beauty contests because they are surgically-enhanced.

This weekend the Metro (U.K.) reported that one entrant incurred an injury during the competition:
A friend said: 'She had not got used to the extra weight on top and her new hair extensions got in her eyes - she just lost her balance and tore a ligament in her foot badly.'
She is now in a wheelchair, but to her credit has elected to remain in the contest: 'I don't see why they can't admire my beauty in a wheelchair as well.'
