Word for the day: "hemolacria"


Bloody tears can be caused by problems in the lacrimal glands (tumors, vascular malformations), but since this young man's events are bilateral (and since he says he sometimes has a "burning" seensation, they are probably caused by some type of conjunctivitis. I'm suprised the family hasn't been able to find an opthalmologist who could reassure them.
