(CN) - A family demands $10 million from Honda, claiming a side window shattered and injured them when a tornado picked up their Honda Odyssey, which "remained airborne for a few seconds before plummeting to the ground and landing on all four wheels. Upon impact, the driver's side passenger window shattered and glass flew into the car."via The New Shelton, wet/dry.
The Achumba family says the tempered glass Honda uses in side windows to reduce costs is not strong enough. They say Honda should use laminated glass, as it does for windshields.
They are represented by Jonathan Dailey of Surovell Markle & Isaacs of Fairfax, Va.
This is where advances in safety engineering harm society. Have these idiots considered what would have happened to them if they'd been in the same place but outside their obviously very safe Honda?
ReplyDeleteI hope the judge throws this out of court and charges the attorney and his clients for wasting his time.
ReplyDeleteSee the movie "The Man Who Sued God"....
ReplyDeleteBilly Connolly. Highly recommended.
I presume builders who build houses that get blown away by hurricanes are to be sued too?
The persons who should face retribution are the parents who knew there was a tornado warning, and took their kids out into the path of a potentially killing storm.
