Rubik's cube art
If you like your art pixellated (and in primary colors), you can create it by aggregating Rubik's cubes after each has been twisted to the appropriate 9-pixel pattern. The cynic in me wonders whether it wouldn't be easier to peel the little stickers off the cube components, or repaint the surfaces, or pull the cubes apart and reassemble them. Would that be cheating?
Addendum - Ian has eyes younger than mine: "It seems they may have done just that. Visible in the photo are a few coloured stickers, as well as a cube component dislodged from its cube." Excellent pickup. Now I can limit my admiration to their artistic skills, not their cube prowess.

ReplyDeletewhen was pink added as a color for a rubiks cube? there looks to be pink, and i would call it cheating if they used a color not actually on a rubiks.
