More cartoons by H.T. Webster

Last week I posted two items about the cartoons created by H.T. Webster (Caspar Milquetoast, The Thrill of a Lifetime, and Life's Darkest Moment).

This week I found a book of his cartoons (The Best of H.T. Webster: a Memorial Collection, Simon and Schuster, NY, 1953) in our local library. It includes the aforementioned series, plus ones about golf, bridge, poker, fishing, and how to torture your wife/husband. Some samples are embedded above.

  1. I still get such a great laugh out of Caspar Milquetoast comics. Not every comic or joke from so many decades ago can continue to entertain so universally, and that's the brilliance of H.T. Webster.
