Blindsight

I didn't blog much today because I spent hours watching the movie whose trailer is embedded above. The film documents the cultural prejudices experienced by six blind teenagers in Tibet, and their life-changing experience of climbing to 20,000 feet to a base camp near Mt. Everest.

This film has won multiple audience awards at film festivals, and has a spectacular 98% rating at Rotten Tomatoes (47/48 positive). If you have the opportunity to view the movie on DVD, I highly recommend watching the bonus footage on how the lives of the young Tibetans changed after they completed their climb.
