Xenophobic hatred exemplified

  1. I find the comment about boycotting taxis driven by Muslims particularly ridiculous. I'm from an area of the UK with no Muslim population so I had never met any Muslims until I moved to France. Within a fortnight I had taken 2 taxi journeys - one driver was a pleasant Muslim man whom I had a nice conversation with, the other was a white French man who sexually harassed me. This fits with my experiences of the city in general: white French men sexually harass women on a daily basis, while their Muslim counterparts are polite and respectful.

Polite and respectful are apparently two words that driver hasn't heard of.

  2. The bumper stickers are not xenophobic because (with a couple of exceptions) they criticize:

    A) A religion, and not a people.

    B) The leaders of terrorist gangs that have murdered thousands of Americans, and for that matter, other Muslims too.

Just astonishing: You consider ridicule of Bin Laden as being "hate."

If you really want to see xenophobic hate exemplified, try this.

  3. re: Second Anonymous.

Considering that there are exceptions to begin with on this maniac's truck, I think it is safe to say that it's owner does indeed exemplify xenophobic hatred.

He doesn't simply mean a religion, he also picks out the people.

  5. Wow, that's pretty intense. I hope you don't find yourselves in the position of being criticized for publishing this point of view, a la the newspapers that carried that infamous Danish cartoon.
