Earlier this week I blogged a video of this spectacle. Now the Big Picture has a photoessay with a dozen large-format awesome pictures. It puzzles me that this level of disruption doesn't produce tsunamis - or even large waves to impact the photographers' boat.
The other thing I found surprising is that there doesn't seem to be any sound on videos of it (search youtube). You can hear the people and the nearby water/wind but no explosion sounds and no huge thrashing of water sounds.
