Since this train was backing up, it was not the driver. But someone jumped off before the collision. And consider how it took the guys helmet off, I doubt he survived. He reacted, but not enough. If he ducked a little lower he might have had a GREAT story for the kitchen table that evening.
Watch the overhead view of the wreck closely. Just before the collision with the truck, it looks like the driver of the train bails out. Am I right?
