... you should probably sell one of them now. This first issue of Action Comics from 1938 included the first depiction of Superman. Only about 100 copies are known to exist.
One of those copies just sold for $317,200 in an internet auction. The man who sold it hadn't even bought it new. When he was nine years old he had paid 35 cents for it in the early 1950s - about the same time your mother was throwing out your comics.
I never collected comics, I think that was a mistake, lol
