President Nixon's resignation letter

Short and sweet. Found at Uncertain Times.

  1. I worked in the Department of State's Foreign Affairs Information Management Center at the time of Nixon's resignation. I was 19 years old. We had the original letter and I remember that it was put in the tube station where it got stuck briefly on it's way to being delivered to Kissinger. A tube station was a method of delivery where you put the item or document to be delivered into a canister, selected it's location, and then inserted into the wall station. A powerful suction transported the canister. I don't remember why the letter was not hand carried.

    1. I remember those vacuum tube systems in Minneapolis banks and department stores. Interesting. Tx, anon.
