Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson - "Nightlife"

I love duets. This one is by two undisputed legends. Performed in New York City, 2003 on the occasion of Willie Nelson's 70th birthday.  What a fantastic birthday party that must have been.

For Clapton performing "Layla" and the history of the song, see here.

Even better is the story behind "Tears in Heaven."

Reposted from 2009.  Shouldn't have waited so long.

  2. It's funny, I assumed you were posting in reaction to Clapton's recent anti-vaccine comments.

    3. I know you're a fan, I'm not trying to "yuck your yums," but I'm just surprised to learn after all this time that Clapton also has made forays into racism and xenophobia. According to Red Saunders it was due to a racist outburst of his that Rock Against Racism was founded:

    4. Not a fan of the person per se. I have little or no interest in celebrities. But I am a fan of the music.
