Where was this photo taken?

Once again, I'm requesting help from TYWKIWDBI visitors in identifying the locale in a photograph. This isn't a "quiz" - I'm just interested in learning where the photo was taken. It's a magnificent landscape photo, and was one of the 20-30,000 pictures at Pizdaus, stored there without attribution or credit to the photographer.

The mountains look like the Canadian Rockies, but I can't seem to find it Googling Banff or Lake Louise. Could that be a fjord of the ocean, in New Zealand?

In the past week, visitors here have identified a street gridlock scene as being Sao Paolo, and a island as being on the Adriatic Riviera, so I'm hopeful someone will recognize this location as well. I would love to visit whereever this is - so I'm hoping it's nearby in Canada...

  1. This is a photo of 'Waterton Lake'. You will be happy to know it is in Alberta, Canada.

The prominent building in the foreground is the Prince of Whales hotel.

Elk, Deer, Bighorned sheep, Mountian goats, even Bears. Are commonly found wandering in the town all summer.

    Here's their Tourism website:
