In the scene at Mount Rushmore where Eva Marie Saint "shoots" Cary Grant, the small child in the restaurant (blue shirt, right side of the frame) covers his ears before the gun is fired (it's more obvious a couple frames later). Apparently there must have been several takes during filming, and he knew what to expect. (photo credit here)
