The Bulgarian women's ice hockey team...

...lost to Italy 41-0, then to Latvia 39-0. Against Slovakia they were down 77-0, with three minutes to go, so they pulled their goalie to ramp up their offensive attack, but wound up losing 82-0. They did, however, score a goal against Croatia, losing only 30-1.

As a former hockey team manager, this story sort of resonates with me. I won't embed the video because it's not that exciting, but you can view three segments of the game here. There's one salient comment at the Metafilter discussion - "unfortunately in Olympic hockey the team that has scored the most total goals gets a type of "home ice" advantage in the gold medal game, so running up the score happens a lot. There should be some sort of mercy rule." (as there is in Little League baseball, I believe).
