With the summer Olympics scheduled to begin in less than three weeks, the always-impressive new "Big Picture" photoblog at Boston.com has a photoessay on developments in the city in preparation for the Olympics. I am a sinophile who enjoyed a prolonged visit to the "old" PRC before it really opened to the west; I'm hoping the world can put politics aside for a while and enjoy this event.
