Nudibranchs

I probably should have saved this little fellow for a "name that animal" session, but I've been wanting to feature a separate blog entry for nudibranchs. Most people will agree that there is no group of animals or plants on earth that display such a vivid and frankly spectacular display of colors and shapes.

You can read about them at Wiki, but the wonder comes from viewing photographs, such as the photo gallery recently posted at National Geographic. Even better is the narrated four-minute video there. There is at least one slideshow on Flickr, and of course a Google Image Search, which yields over 800 photos. Take ten minutes - explore and enjoy.
