Name that animal - round 2
Mieke nailed the Patagonian mara (or cavy). We'll see if anyone recognizes this little critter (tiny, in fact - average size 100 mm) that looks like it escaped from a videogame.
That was *difficult*!! I found out, eventually - ((awww cute)) ... but I won't say: I'll wait and see whether someone else wants a go (Tess, maybe? Care to give it a try?)
Ahaha! I found it! In Google I first typed in: armadillo rat, armadillo mouse, armadillo mole (getting close). After quizzing my Mum "what?? Ummm...Wombat? Uhh...Bilby?? Tasmanian devil!?" and receiving the answer "You're thinking to Australian!" - armadillo x mole and then finally pink fairy armadillo.Which is what it is. PINK FAIRY ARMADILLO.
