"Went With The Wind"

A classic comedy sketch, with the famous line "Thank you. I saw it in a window and I just couldn't resist it" (funny only in context).

Reposted - again - from 2008 because I needed something cheerful.

  1. This is one of my favorite Carol Burnett sketches. I love when she swanned down the staircase. And her Bob Mackie gown was inspired.

With so much happening in the world that makes you wonder if it's all going to hell in a handbasket this is a much needed moment of cheer. Thanks for the reminder.

    1. "Swan" used as a verb is new to me (had to look it up). Referring to the opening casual amble, not the later tumble apparently. Thank you.

  4. Thanks for the laugh. I love Carol Burnett, but even more, I love Tim Conway.

  5. Another classic Carol Burnett / Tim Conway sketch is the "Wrong Number" bit, here:

For some reason, it works better on Youtube than on the TV.

    1. Years ago I think I posted Tim Conway's dentist sketch, but I think that video underwent linkrot.
