I.e., not approximately 15 minutes, but exactly 15 minutes and 39 seconds. We must, after all, really be machines if that's the case.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-92140024174077314952013-11-01T22:34:49.220-05:002013-11-01T22:34:49.220-05:00All men may be entitled to the same rights, but it...All men may be entitled to the same rights, but it seems silly in the face of such brilliance to claim that all men are created equal. Certainly this man's gift for creation was nearly beyond comprehension. 032125https://www.blogger.com/profile/11092860450994272341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-35177756725310229062013-11-01T01:30:34.891-05:002013-11-01T01:30:34.891-05:00wow, that is amazing!wow, that is amazing!Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14748638751102043420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-1428179391767989052013-11-01T00:47:01.941-05:002013-11-01T00:47:01.941-05:00There is a museum in York, England which has sever...There is a museum in York, England which has several of these creations, and there is a clip on youtube. The full documentary is astounding. I loved it, and thinking about the people who not only designed these machines, but made the parts and put them together, knowing full well what the outcome would be, I wondered why they aren't just as famous as some scientists or painters from the past. It's a mindblowing achievement. And these people made watches for their "day job".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-28962598790802423042013-10-31T16:06:52.486-05:002013-10-31T16:06:52.486-05:00Can't wait to watch the movie. The Wilson Quarterly had an article about automata a while back that may also be of interest, featuring a wonderful quote by Voltaire: http://wilsonquarterly.com/essays/man-machineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
