Shades of Glen Lake. There...Powerful story, Stan. Shades of Glen Lake. <BR/>There is a touching scene in the recent movie of the Alamo story with Billy Bob Thornton as Davy Crockett. The Mexican Army precedes their evening bombardment of the Alamo with a military song indicating no quarter is to be given. Crockett mounts the battlements with his violin and plays a harmonious counter-point to the Mexican theme. The Mexicans are so impressed with his bravado (or his music) that they do not bombard the Alamo that night.
