When you see this phenomenon, tend to appear in super cell storms with F5 classifications. This photo, looks like it might have been the one that hit Jarrel, Texas a few years ago. F5, pretty much wiped the town off the mat. F5 back in late 70's, Manson, Iowa. That one 'did' wipe the town off the mat. All that was left was the main telephone cable to the towns switch office. Drive through town today there's a weird feel in the air. Like a sepulcher, 'full of dead men's bones.' That tornado left something behind in that town. It didn't just destroy the houses, it erased the neighborhood completely. Even the pavement for the roads was gone. It then went on to damage a grocery store next to where I worked quite a few miles to the south west. To this day after that, any time I feel the pressure change of a coming storm, I automatically feel a panic need to seek cover.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-51517922830625483472019-06-17T07:14:32.957-05:002019-06-17T07:14:32.957-05:00At about 16:50 in Oscar's link (a still image)...At about 16:50 in Oscar's link (a still image).Minnesotastanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01382888179579245181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-3948306875959402282019-06-16T21:20:20.723-05:002019-06-16T21:20:20.723-05:00https://youtu.be/gBauRBN-8Ashttps://youtu.be/gBauRBN-8AsOscarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12856962686381782207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-10104661921343095192019-04-28T21:42:31.107-05:002019-04-28T21:42:31.107-05:00It was really scary for those who are in the path ...It was really scary for those who are in the path of an F5 tornado.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07747083169680724727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-76972117863601782462018-09-16T13:55:44.220-05:002018-09-16T13:55:44.220-05:00Best to remember, the native Americans were here...Best to remember, the native Americans were here first & would know. Was not gone that quickly. The human brain looks for humanoid shapes. The still photography of the tornado doesn't come close to what it looked like in motion. It had a jerky, extremely haunting movement and seemed to form a sword and shield. It was literally the stuff of nightmares. I will never forget it. What the picture fails to capture most is that motion. Until it was hidden it walked like a badly hand-animated figure. The "legs" walked forward properly to throw things into the hell of the uncanny valley. They didn't rotate around each other.

Please, though, to anyone reading this: Unless it's on film please -- please -- restrict looking for fanciful shapes to benign weather conditions. The "Dead Man Walking" "walked" right into Jerrill on May 27, 1997 and took the lives of 27 people including 14 children. The "Dead Man Walking" impression sticks right with you after seeing twin vortices rotating about each other in a humanoid shape. The Jerrill "Dead Man Walking" is the most disturbing "Dead Man Walking" I've ever seen. I've never seen a more disturbing "Dead Man Walking" than the Jerrill "Dead Man Walking". El Reno didn't even HAVE a "Dead Man Walking", though it was still deadly to 14 people directly and one person indirectly.
