Polyurea flooring

If any readers have resurfaced a garage or interior floor with polyurea, I'd appreciate your thoughts (positive/negative) in the Comments.  Thanks in advance.

Addendum:  The garage floor was resurfaced.  It looks 10X better, sweeps clean easily (after the winter I hose it down to wash out sand/salt drippings), and it is not slippery when wet.  I'm writing this addendum 3 years later, and it's still just as great as when new.  It's easily the best fixup we've ever done for the house.

  3. Slippery when wet. If you've been driving in the slush, slow down before you enter the garage.

    1. Slowing down before entering the garage is my general practice, regardless of where I have been driving previously ;-)

    3. You can ask that the top layer have grit mixed in to control the slipperiness.

  4. No experience personally but I asked my wife who is a realtor and she said when people fix up their garage it tells potential buyers that the owners care about their house and probably took good care of it too.

  5. If you go ahead and do it please post results here. I'm thinking along the same lines myself. I've done a lot of industrial floors with epoxy, but I've not seen this product. I'm curious about cost/sqft and installation difficulty.

    1. Will do, Scott. But it won't be before end summer.

    2. Scott, I wrote an addendum to the post with some followup information. I'm delighted with the result. Cost will depend on your local contractor. The only difficulty for us was the need to totally empty the garage; our contractor provided us with a covered bin with a door in the driveway where we could store all the stuff for the several days it took to empty the garage, install the flooring, and let it dry.

  6. Patrons of bars in Austin, Texas have had enjoyed natural urea floor coverings for decades.
    I'll see myself out...
