Efficient wood-splitting


It's not the maul work that's impressive - it's the use of the elastic on the chain that keeps the bundle together so it can be loaded in the truck without picking up the individual splits.  Clever.

  1. I'm impressed. I had no idea a log would split cleanly, all the way through, without the pieces physically falling away. That must save an awful lot of bending over!

  3. I could see this working well for very dry, relatively knot-free wood. Unfortunately, most of what I have to split is of the small, wet, tough and gnarly variety!
    Cool idea, though. And smart to just drop it straight in the truck like that.
