False advertising


It's everywhere - most commonly on the labels of packaged and prepared food products, which commonly have only a tangential resemblance to the item pictured on he label or menu. The image above is from a Consumerist.com article which includes devastating reviews of the product posted at Amazon.com.
The box admonishes buyers "product may not be as appears on image;" a gross understatement for a gross distortion.
